DRACONIC ASTROLOGY

This Draconic Astrology workshop is designed for astrologers or advanced students. Studying this branch of astrology will allow you to get in touch with the true purpose of your life.

Draconic is a branch of astrology based on lunar symbolism that offers a deeper viewpoint into one’s inner motivations. The Draconic zodiac is oriented to the Moon and takes the North Node as 0 degrees of Aries. Whereas the Tropical zodiac is about our psychological traits, the Draconic zodiac alludes to memory and inheritance. It is impressed within the tropical, and both interact.

The draconic chart represents inner motivations and purpose. When a draconic planet or angle touches a tropical one, it is as though the soul has reached out to that planet to convey a part of itself. There is a subliminal conditioning that becomes evident; the contacted planet expresses the symbolism of the draconic and gains strength in terms of the planetary symbolisms

In this workshop, we will see differences between the tropical and draconic zodiacs; the nodes’ traditional and modern meanings; the calculation of the draconic chart and how to interpret it in relation to the tropical chart; examples of how to overlap both charts; draconic synastry (contacts between draconic charts refer to karmic relationships); draconic transits (they produce events that are experienced as inevitable).

ABOUT MARIA

María Blaquier, born in Argentina, has been involved with astrology since 1987. She is the founder of the online astrology school Academia de Astrología Avanzada MB (at www.mariablaquier.com).

Maria holds the STA’s Practitioners Level Certification in Horary, the STA’s Advanced Level Horary Diploma Course, and the STA’s Medical Astrology Course. She is currently completing the STA’s Masters Level Program. Her studies also include Psychological, Draconic, Hellenistic, and Medieval Astrology (MDA Zoller 2012). Her publications include several articles in The Astrological Journal, Stellium, IAMINFINITY, MidHeaven, astro.com; a book on Traditional astrology and Time Lord techniques (Astrología tradicional: Técnicas predictivas de los Señores del tiempo: ed. Kier, Bs. As.); and YouTube tutorials at Academia de Astrologia Avanzada MB.

She’s a member of the Steering Committee at AFAN and is co-chair of the Education Committee and part of the Spanish Speaking Satellite at OPA and will represent the STA in Spanish as of 2023.

FORMAT
Online via Zoom. All sessions will be recorded. All those registered for the event will be sent the link to the recorded session along with the speaker’s PDF (with the speaker’s permission) within one week of the session being held. Should you not be able to attend the session live, you will still receive a link to the recording. The webinar will be available for replay for 30 days after the date of the talk.
