The placement of Neptune in a chart often indicates our capacity for longing and idealization. Deep down in us lies a need to merge with another person, an ideal, a state of dreamy sensual delight and ecstasy. This can come to us in various forms. We can be devoted to a course, a partner or family member, find great joy in art or travels. Or, we can get lost by misusing drugs, becoming the victim of self-deception or running out empty from getting manipulated by other persons or circumstances. In many cases we experience both extremes, which makes Neptune’s realm so very foggy and mysterious. In this lecture, Martin will explore the reasons for our yearning and why disappointment and de-idealization can drain us out of all our energy but can also be a kick to let go of unrealistic demands and expectations.

ABOUT MARTIN
Martin Sebastian Moritz lives in Hamburg and Berlin. He started out as actor and dancer, before his life took a turn, and he decided to study psychology and astrology. With ten years of teaching Psychodrama under his belt, he now specializes in couples therapy, often helped with astrological readings. A consulting psychological astrologer for more than two decades, Martin lectures all over Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the UK. He has given talks at NORWAC, the AA conference and the London based Astrological Lodge. He also lectures for MISPA. He writes articles for German and Swiss astrology magazines, as well as for the Astrological Journal. His keen interests are Psychological and Karmic Astrology, as well as gender studies. His book, Pandora’s Box – The Mysterious 8th House, was published in September 2021. Martin’s website is: www.astro-via.com.

Online via Zoom. All sessions will be recorded. All those registered for the event will be sent the link to the recorded session along with the speaker’s PDF (with the speaker’s permission) within one week of the session being held.
